Who we are
Our website address is: https://kristenacosta.com.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
Who we share your data with
I will not share your data with anyone. Not in a jam. Not with my friend Pam. Not here or there. Not anywhere. I will not share your data with anyone. Again, you can “opt out” any time by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any email
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Keep Your Wits About You…
Never assume that people are who they say they are, know what they say they know, or are affiliated with whom they say they are in the comments section or in any user-generated content area. Information obtained in the comments may not be reliable. I cannot be responsible for the content or accuracy of any information, and shall not be responsible for any decisions made based on such information. Please keep in mind that whenever you give out personal information online, for example, via the comments section, that information can be collected and used by people you don’t know. While I strive to protect your personal information and privacy, I cannot guarantee the security of any information you disclose online; you make such disclosures at your own risk.
Please be careful while browsing the Internet. You should be aware that when you are on my website, you could be directed to other sites that I don’t own or control. For example, if you click on a link or a search result, the click may take you off the website. This includes links from advertisers, sponsors, and content partners that may use my logo(s) as part of a co-branding agreement. These other sites may send their own cookies to users, collect data, solicit personal information, or contain information that you may find inappropriate or offensive. In addition, advertisers may send cookies to users that I do not control. I reserve the right to disable links from any third party sites at any time.
I do not make any representations or warranties as to the security of any information (including, without limitation, credit card and other personal information) you might be requested to give. I strongly encourage you to make whatever investigation you feel necessary or appropriate before proceeding with any online or offline transaction.
You are entirely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your information and for all activities that occur under your account. You hereby indemnify, defend and hold me and my affiliates and my officers, directors, owners, agents, information providers, affiliates, licensors and licensees (collectively, the Indemnified Parties) harmless from and against any and all liabilities and costs (including reasonable attorneys fees) incurred by the Indemnified Parties in connection with any claim arising out of any breach by you of this Agreement or claims arising from your account. You shall use your best efforts to cooperate with me in the defense of any claim. I reserve the right, at my own expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you.
